Our vocal setup combines professional recording equipment with an environment where artists can feel comfortable and focus on their performance. From the first take to the final vocal, the goal is to capture the character, energy and emotion that make every voice unique.
Whether it’s a lead vocal, harmonies, ad-libs or a complete session, we take the time to find the right sound and create recordings that are ready to become part of the final record.

SONGWRITING & PRODUCTION
WHERE IDEAS BECOME RECORDS.
Every record starts with an idea. At City Lock Studio, artists, songwriters and producers can develop that idea together — from the first melody or lyric to a complete production.
Whether you arrive with a finished song, a rough demo or just an idea, the studio provides the space, tools and creative environment to build the sound around it.

MIXING & MASTERING
FROM THE MIX TO THE FINAL MASTER.
Every song needs its own sound. At City Lock Studio, mixing and mastering is about bringing together every element of a record while keeping the character, energy and intention of the music intact.
From detailed vocal mixes to complete mixes and final masters, we focus on creating records that translate across streaming platforms, clubs, headphones and sound systems.

CITY LOCK — THE LABEL
BEYOND THE STUDIO
FROM FINISHED RECORD TO RELEASE.
City Lock is an independent music label based in Berlin, built around artists, music and long-term creative relationships. With roots in dancehall and reggae culture, the label connects our history with a new generation of artists and sounds.
From our own riddim productions to individual artist releases and international collaborations, we work closely with artists throughout the release process — from the finished record to distribution, promotion and beyond.
Our focus is simple: release music we believe in, build lasting connections and give every project the attention it deserves.

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT & DISTRIBUTION
FROM THE MUSIC TO THE AUDIENCE.
At City Lock, releasing music is about more than putting a song on streaming platforms. We work closely with artists to develop each release, build the right strategy around the music and give every project the attention it needs.
From release planning and distribution to promotion and long-term artist development, we help shape each project from the music to the audience.
